Yesterday LIam, the kids and I drove down to San Diego on a difficult mission. Liam is being deployed to Afghanistan with the US Navy for about a year. We had lunch, and then with lots of hugs and some tears said our good-byes.
Rather than climb back in the car for another long trip without stretching our legs, we headed over to a play area and "got the wiggles out."
Coming home with no Daddy...knowing he won't be home for such a long time...it was sobering for all of us.
