Flower fields

A couple of weeks ago, the kids and I went on a field trip to The Flower Fields in Carlsbad. We learned about worm composting and ranunculus flowers, enjoyed the beauty of the fields and had some great time to play with friends.





After we ate lunch and played at the fun playground, we drove a short distance to a U-Pick strawberry field and had a grand time picking...and eating...strawberries.





It was an incredibly hot day in Carlsbad, so after strawberries, we needed ice cream!
